Team manager, support manager, and COO –

Bård Jostein is responsible for The Translator Academy’s support. He is our first line support when you send an e-mail to The Translator Academy. He also keeps all the different personalities in our team in place 😊 

Bård Jostein has been a full-time translator since 2007 and has no plans to leave the game quite yet! He knows the training course concept inside out after playing ball with his big sister Inger Lise, our CEO for years. Bård Jostein is based in Melbourne, Australia with his wife and two children. When he doesn’t translate, manage Adepto Translations or work with The Translator Academy, he’s a «stay at home dad» where most of the days take place inside/outside the four walls of the house. Especially the last two years with one lockdown after another…  

Those who know him refer to him, among other things, as kind, helpful, and a joyful chap. Fun facts about Bård Jostein: he has served hot chocolate to His Majesty King Harald of Norway and talked to Princess Astrid. He is also a country and western music fan!
